I know some people still have hard feelings that I inherited this fine piece of furniture. The end table with the lift up top. Well, it needed some refinishing, and since I have the time on my hands, I decided to start. I started sanding it today, and at this rate, I should be done with that part by this time next year if I'm lucky. I was going to sand it all by hand, but I think I'll be investing in a power sander instead.
I didn't think to take a picture until after I started, but it is looking better already. For those of you concerned, I sanded it out on the patio, not in my living room.

Pharmacy Customers in Las Cruces are Nicer than in Aurora
This has been my observation over the last month. People don't seem to be as rude here. Maybe that is because the majority of Kmart customers are older people, although there were some pretty vicious old people frequenting Walgreens in Aurora. You can tell people here that there prescription is going to take 45 minutes and they're just like "OK, whatever." In Aurora, some people would freak out if they were going to have to wait 1o minutes. Of course, Kmart had no drive through pharmacies either, so maybe people don't think they're picking up a burger on the way home from work as well.
My favorite part is that the people aren't anxious for you to ring up there prescription just so they can tell you the price is wrong and that their insurance should pay for that and they have good insurance and blah, blah, blah. I really wanted to tell many a person in Aurora, your insurance company doesn't care about you, they care about their bottom line. But that is another topic.
